Career and Technical Education at Legacy the School of Sport Sciences is embracing the challenge of change for the 21st Century in preparing students for meeting the demands of a more technological society.

Career and Technical Education is growing to provide unique educational options for enhancing the knowledge and skills required for employment in a knowledge-based economy.

To develop partnerships and programs providing each student with the skills and knowledge to excel in a diverse, global society for lifelong success.

The vision of Career and Technical Education

The vision of the LSSS Career and Technical Education program is to provide a comprehensive program that will give students the opportunity to excel and advance their skills and knowledge to be prepared for post-secondary endeavors through a rigorous curriculum, relevant experiences, and lasting relationships.

Programs in Career and Technical Education will:

  • Provide career development

  • Offer pathways to post-secondary transitions

  • Offer leadership opportunities through CTE student organizations

  • Link to business and industries in the region

  • Reflect the diversity of the district enrollment

  • Embrace students of all learning abilities

  • Provide ability to earn certifications

Policy

“80 to Participate”

To participate in ANY extra-curricular activity, students must fulfill all requirements of Legacy coursework with a minimum grade of 80% in each class on their progress reports and report cards.
