I hope each of you and your family are doing well under these unique circumstances. I am writing to inform you of the academic arrangements we have made for all students while we are out of school due to the COVID-19 virus.
Fortunately, we already have an online platform (Edgenuity) in place, and students should be familiar with navigating through it. Many of our students already have assignments in the core courses that were assigned over Spring Break. Students can continue to work on those assignments during our time out. Our teachers will be monitoring the work and will be able to unlock assignments and answer questions through email.
We are also reviewing our options on how to most effectively provide some interaction between our students and teachers. If you do not have access to a technological device (i.e. cell phone, laptop, notebook, etc.) please contact Patty Fisk at pfisk@legacysss.org. We plan to rely heavily on our online platform through these unforeseen circumstances, as we want everyone to stay connected.
Our leadership team will be meeting today to discuss all the current information we have received and how to best support our students in this unprecedented time. Based on the uncertainty of this situation, we are preparing for this to extend through the end of March. We will continue to update you throughout the week, as new information becomes available.
