Welcome Back!

Dear Legacy Families —

I hope this communication finds you and your family healthy. 2020 has tested all of us in so many ways, so I want to start by saying "thank you" for staying the course and trusting us with your child's education. We have made every effort to continue to offer our students the best educational experiences possible, despite the challenges we have faced this year.

We know each family situation is uniquely different. We fully understand your varied concerns about health and safety, distance learning, the importance of face-to-face instruction, parents needing to work, the economy, and all of the other unexpected consequences of not being in school or being in school in a traditional method. Know that we keep each variable in mind as we make decisions for the district.

While we are in the business of educating, our priority is our students and our faculty and staff's safety. Legacy must be proactive and be prepared during these ever-changing times to continue educating our students if and when circumstances change. Be assured; we have been working diligently on our Return to School Plan for the Spring of 2021.

Note that remote learning is still available to all Legacy families until the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

To date, we are confident in how we have operated as an organization to accommodate our on-campus students, faculty, and staff. To continue with our current success, we feel it necessary to ask that you pay close attention to your students as we plan to return to campus from the Thanksgiving Break.

As we have shared before, if you have experienced the following, contact your healthcare provider concerning possible exposure to COVID-19.

• Fever of more than 100.4 degrees

• New or worsening cough

• New or worsening shortness of breath

• Close contact (six feet or less) for a duration of 10 minutes or more with someone diagnosed with COVID-19

• Recent travel to a country at a Level 3 CDC designation

I encourage our parents to frequently visit our webpage and follow our social media for up to date and accurate information.

Welcome back!
