This collaboration is central to the success of the P-TECH model and includes coordinated support in dual credit instruction, academic advising, degree planning, and student intervention.
The partnership is governed by a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines the roles, responsibilities, and shared commitments of both institutions. Through this agreement, Legacy and Lone Star College have established:
-
Curricular alignment between high school and college-level coursework to ensure seamless credit transfer.
-
Shared use of facilities and instructional resources to support both in-person and online learning opportunities.
-
Joint academic advising to monitor student progress toward the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Business and Marketing.

Access to college faculty and support staff, including a dedicated Lone Star College representative, Mr. Freddie Johnson, who works on-site with students to provide tutoring and college navigation support.
-
Annual planning meetings and regular communication between Legacy administrators and Lone Star leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and coordinate continuous improvement.
