Legacy Students Prepare for Finals


STAAR is finally over; now the shift of focus is straight to finals. While some are at ease, some are on the edge of their seats, anxiously preparing for their finals.


Finals are one of the most important tests we take at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. Taking these tests allows our teachers to see how much of the material we understood throughout the course. It also helps them see what we need to work on more.

If your overall course grade is 90 or above, you are exempt from taking your final from that class. Many of our students passed the mark, others did not.

Sophomore Isabella Day stated, “I’m exempt from four finals. I feel very neutral about finals week, I’m just ready to finish the finals and pass. I’m also studying and going to sleep early to feel well-rested.”


Sophomore Zane Alan said, “I’m not exempt from any finals. I’m scared that I might fail, but I’m trying to study every night.”



Spanish teacher Mrs. Chapman stated, “I agree with finals and I feel okay with it. When it comes to the students' passing, it’s a hit or miss. I think the students will do good with multiple choice because students are great at deducing, but I don’t think students will do well with my essay.”
