A day to show off skills from Mr. Veasey’s Sports Marketing class, students practice their entrepreneurial skills. Mr. Veasey stated, “To me, Market Day means I get to watch my students make their business plan and execute it. I prepare my students through real-world activities and Edgenuity courses.”
We ALL love Market Day as we get to walk around and see all the diverse and varied options to buy from. You might see food, hand-crafted jewelry, graphic tees, video games, temporary henna tattoos, and much more!
I, Taylor Elmore, had a nice conversation with freshman Ariel Jackson, who shared her experience. I asked a variety of questions, and here is what she explained:
"Preparing for everything took me about two days, and baking took about three. Knowing I had such a large number of items for so many people made me feel pretty anxious. I was scared my items weren’t going to come out right; I was tired and worried. I decided what to do for Market Day because I’m good at baking, and it’s something students like! Overall, I was pretty happy with my end results!"
Ariel and I had a relatable moment. I felt similar to how she did, especially the stress of getting everything together. So, what does this showcase look like, you ask? Allow me to show you the visuals of this eventful atmosphere!
